Directory Structure

This is the Directory Structure analogy between Linux and Windows, I had given in the class.

/ -> My Computer
/home & /root -> C:\Document and Setting
/bin & /usr -> C:\Program Files
/lib -> C:\Program Files\Common Files
/dev -> C:\WINDOWS\system
/boot -> C:\WINDOWS\system32
/etc -> C:\Windows

This is not the exact Windows' DS. Its just to show an anology.

Linux Stores its configuration in *.conf files and Windows in *.ini

Regedit is tool to access and edit all windows configuration files. Its available as c:\windows\regedit.exe
